| Posted: | | | | As always with this poll (and as alluded to by Danae Cassandra) I have to ask: Do you mean "A DVD you've bought and never seen the film/TV series" (ie a blind buy) or "A DVD you've seen the film/TV series of at the theatre/on TV but not actually off the DVD"?
My data is:
Movies: 192 blind buys unwatched / 383 unwatched from the DVD
TV/Doco: 251 blind buys unwatched / 321 unwatched from the DVD
Total: 443 blind buys unwatched / 704 unwatched from the DVD
Out of my total 1455 DVD titles to watch that's 30% of my collection is unwatched blind buys and 48% of my collection has not been watched on the DVD itself... so goblinsdoitall; the purely "size of collection" based guess isn't right for me from your 5% baseline! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | at the moment: 42 titles (~6% of collection), 120 discs (~11%), 17073 minutes (~13%) The "Star Trek: The Next Generation - 20th Anniversary Collection" with its 49discs and 7850 minutes really whacked my resolution not to have more than 10% (running time) of my DVDs unwatched. But I couldn't pass it with a price of 70€. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

[...] Well, I mean actually unwatched DVD's. No matter if we have seen the film/TV series. Speaking for myself, I very often buy DVD's because I've seen the film and/or TV series. | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Who always sets up these polls with gaps in them? No option between 300-350 and 400-450... Not including my ordered DVDs (which should arrive any day) I'm at 399 unwatched, which is 55%. I'm just interested in so much stuff and stacking it up when I can get it cheap. I just can't watch it as fast as I buy, but then again I'm basically building up a "personal library" here | | | - Jan |

| Posted: | | | | I'd say about 225 still remain unwatched in my collection. I always open them right away to check that they play fine and are free of defects! | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I watch every DVD I buy, generally in the following week. I do not collect DVDs, I collect movies, so I do not see the interest to have unwatched DVDs. But I have a rather little collection (918 today). | | | Images from movies |

I average buying about 15-20 a month (plus a big influx at birthdays and Christmas), a lot of which are TV series and I don't watch one series per day or two when it has 20+ episode in! However it does give me a lovely library to choose from, whatever mood I'm in, when I get the chance to actually watch them (usually about 3 nights a week) and i'm very happy to have more than I 'need' than to have them all watched and thinking there's nothing to pick from or look forward to that I haven't already seen. Yes, and if you look at the other side, you have often a nice image with some logos ... | | | Images from movies |
