Northern Germany:
39°F (4°C) / No snow, at least the rain stopped.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Here in the Cleveland area it's raining and around 45 degrees, which is nice compared to the last few days of 2 degrees with a -14 degree wind chill. This morning was horrible though, since it was really slick due to rain that decided to freeze overnight.

In sunny Brisbane, Queensland, Australia it is 30 degrees celsius or 86 degrees fahrenheit. Chance of snow...unlikely. An afternoon thundertorm is likely however.

The official forecast for Adelaide, South Australia, Australia:
A fine and hot day with high cloud increasing. Light to moderate southeast to
northeast winds and a moderate afternoon sea breeze.

Max 32ºC (89.6ºF)

Looks like I'll have the aircon going in the car.  I was thinking just yesterday how good it is to have fresh stonefruit and prawns for Christmas, and how alien a "traditional" Christmas would be for me (despite the constant bombardment with "traditional" Christmas imagery, and some of those aspects sneaking into an Aussie Christmas).

But isn't it summer time in Australia?

Had a record December for snow this year, in fact, its the worst December in 50 years according to many of the older folks around here.  I can remember that far back (grade school) and I'd have to agree.

Looks pretty on the trees and before anybody drives over it, but its a royal pain in arse to keep the driveway clear!

I'm stranded due to snow in a Motel 6 about 100 miles from my intended destination (near Mt. Shasta, California). Our Christmas Eve dinner was at a Carls, Jr./Green Burrito combo joint.    My family's tradition is to open gifts on Christmas Eve, so we hauled everything into the Motel 6 and did our thing. The kids didn't mind.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

A couple of degrees below freezing. Some frost but no snow. Quite foggy right now, though. Haven't had a really white christmas here in Stockholm, Sweden for quite a few years. I'm not a winter person, but this is just dreary...

You've lost me a bit with that one.  Yes, it is summer, that's why the predicted maximum was 32ºC and also why "traditional" Christmas imagery is anachronistic.

Clear skies here in VT today. Although we've already had over a couple of feet of snow here. So it's definitely a white christmas!

We are spending our Christmas away from Northern Germany, we are back in my Home town in South Carolina, USA.

Steamed oysters for Christmas Eve in the back yard and ate Christmas dinner today in the back on the patio.  it was a beautiful 86 °F ( 30 ° C ). the Kids and I are loving it

Yesterday we had just a bit of snow in the morning, but by afternoon it was just cold.  Today was okay but it's snowing again now.  This weekend calls for rain tomorrow and Sat, with snow on Sat as well.  Looks like Sunday will be the first time in just about a week we'll not have snow at all.  Blugh.  Wish I could just stay in and veg in front of the tv for the next 3 days!
