| Posted: | | | | When I turned on my PS3 the other day it didn't say anything about a mandatory update. I went to the system update only cause I saw this thread. But I wouldn't be surprised if when you try to play online or something (maybe even start a game) the system will tell you that you need to update. I know Burnout did that if you were signed in and would go to play. When it downloads the info from Criterion if there is an update it makes you download it before playing.
All that being said, when I downloaded the update I had no problems.

I have a friend who hasn't logged in for over 2 days now which is extremely unusual. I assumed she bricked her system since she hasn't even responded to messages, but perhaps she just can't get it downloaded. Yes, that's what I meant. So you should give your friend a little more time until the server load goes down. I found today that I can do an offline install. But even that download doesn't succeed so far Will try that tonight with one of those doanload helpers... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. guess, as I am in the UK, the server load wasn't heavy when I grabbed the firmware

| Posted: | | | | Using the "PC install" it was quick and worked well. No brick here either... Seeing when others logged in last will be good to maintain the friends list. The new Account Management is slicker and much faster (as seem a lot of things, actually). The updated trophies display is not faster; that's why I didin't look at it yet | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | Minor update on the PSP to fix a bug with 8 gb and 16 gb memory sticks having "no room" Also, for movie fans... and Knight Rider fans.... as long as you like " Pain" In November, The Pain Movie Studio is about to open, and you will also be able to buy " The Hoff!" Sounds good to me P.S. For UK users only, the BBC are working on an official version of iPlayer for the PS3 - no idea on time table for this, but it is being worked on | | | Signature? | Posted: | | | | This coming Monday, October 27th, there will be an update made available on the PlayStation®Network to unlock the entire Trophy system for Grand Theft Auto IV on PLAYSTATION®3. Make sure to download and install the update before playing in order to start attaining Trophies.
There will be 51 total trophies, broken down by four different levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum - all contributing to your overall experience level on your PlayStation Network profile.
Among the 51 trophies to be released Monday, look for:
One Man Army only those that are wily enough to survive a 6-star wanted level for a full 5 minutes will be rewarded with this one.
Dare Devil an award for those who find and execute all of the Unique Stunt Jumps throughout Liberty City.
Chain Reaction an Achievement for those who can pull off blowing up 10 vehicles in 10 seconds or less.
Liberty City Minute for those who have completed the game story in less than 30 hours. As the Social Club's Story Gang leaderboard can attest, this is not an easy feat.
Look for detailed information on all 51 trophies to be revealed at www.rockstargames.com/IV this Monday when the PLAYSTATION Network update goes live. | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |
