We have learned that the problem you discovered is the result of an error in the audio encode that will be fixed in the next pressing--though the next pressing may not be very soon. Though I cannot offer you a corrected copy of "Insomnia" at this time, we do want you to be happy with your Criterion purchase, and I would be happy to exchange your "Insomnia" DVD for any other Criterion title of equal value.


If you'd like to exchange it, please mail it to my attention at the address below, and include a note with a U.S. or Canadian mailing address (we are unable to sell or send our DVDs outside of North America) and an indication of which title you would like in exchange. As soon as I receive it I'll send you a new DVD of your choice.

Thank you, but for now I will settle with this disc. They also said their first Blu-ray releases will be in December, so I'll cross my fingers that Insomnia will be released on BD sometime
