It has it's uses such as a quick check to see if I have a movie already and to post a review of said movie on Facebook, but that's pretty much all it offers me and pretty much all it offers.

I wonder if the announcement from Apple that they are easing the rules, and conditions for developing apps will help speed up the work Ken is doing right now.

It even looks like they may let a little "Flash" on the iPod/iPhone/iPad.

I sure hope not.  The moment they do that we'll all need to invest in virus protection and I just don't want to do that, I like my iPhone and iPod just the way they are.

Bobb, the way I understand it, it won't be a browser plugin that's allowed but developers will be able to use it in apps.

It is you (joecan) that is prolonging this, not me. Everyone in here is picking on Ken. I want this for the iPad as much as anyone here, and YOU can keep arguing til the end of time and guess what? You will still be waiting here like the rest of us. So Ha, Ha.

Now perhaps if you stopped picking on Ken, he MAY get some work done?

Or of course Joe, you can respond mean to me again - I lose so much sleep over you...

This is aimed at joecan, of course, now quickly reply mean it may make you get the ipad version quicker! Hurry! Hurry!

Look man, I'm sorry if you took what I said as mean, that wasn't the intention. I don't really understand why you think anyone in this thread including me & you, have any impact over this products development. As much as I disagree with how Ken handles releasing in for, I would never suggest he would withold a product because people were "mean" to him. That just doesn't make any sense.

But anyways, I haven't been "mean" to Ken, I've posted my annoyances with this situation, but Ken's a big boy, I'm sure he handles criticism just fine. As far as you & me, we apparently disagree on how Ken is handling this, and that's cool. If you took any of my comments as me being "mean", I apologize, that wasn't my intention.

In the future though, if you have a problem with something I have posted, please let me know before you make posts like the one above. It doesn't serve anyone to have personal arguments on a developers forums.

I cannot help responding to this...

We just took delivery of our 2010 Lexus LX570. It cost us $105,000.00.
For one SUV. It took them 3 months to build it with every single option.

I took an issue with the time it took for that too. But better to take time and get it right.

And they did. We only had to put $5,000.00 down, so while they were building it, they were waiting on $100,000.00! And they did. They got it right. Air Conditioned Seats as well as heated. $5,000 Mark Levinson 19 Speaker 7.1 Surround Sound Theater with drop down electronically screen, rear wheel assist...my God, by the time Ken is ready? Maybe we will be able to watch all of our collection from our iPad! Doubt it, but when we scan in our Bar Codes it kind of proves ownership...

Very few people in this thread are asking Ken to rush this product out the door, the annoyance people have is that this thread started with a post saying more details on the product were coming soon, and that was 4+ months ago.

If it's going to take 2 years to develop this product, I'm fine with that... but don't tell us you're going to release more info and then disappear from the entire forum section for 4 months.

Anyways I get it, you're not annoyed at this, that's cool, you have every right to hold that opinion, and I'm not going to argue that you're wrong for thinking that. There are others, like myself, that are slightly miffed at this... and we have every right to be. The name calling is something entirely different, and I agree with what you've said about that specifically.

I've said my piece, I'll check back in a few weeks...

you are seriously expecting Ken to build his Iphone version with a SUV thrown in? No wonder you are prepared to wait when you have such high expectations!! And how much will it cost

Mine are far lower..

No, no, no, my SUV and DVD Profiler are separate issues.
My Point is that I waited Months for my SUV to be custom built, I am willing to wait for Ken too.

The only thing that took anytime with Lexus, Was arranging for all the SUV's parts to be on the assmbly line at the same time. Once they had organised that the car took about 12 hours to build. The assembly Line is sublime in its organised chaos.

A little off subject but you are probably right. Though we only had to put $5,000.00 down.
They didn't get the other $100,000.00 until they delivered. So we waited. So did they.
