But then again, pre-orders will be charged (and thus paid and actually bought) when they're shipped, not when you order them. Plus, one might cancel a pre-order. So, I can understand the criticism of posting pre-orders. Normal orders though it's a matter of personal preference imho. In the past I added orders to my owned list right away but I've switched to actually using the ordered tab... I just thought it might be easier to just post stuff we actually have in order to avoid double postings or such. But I will abide by what was intended to be on this site. Stuff that we have or stuff that we want? I don't know, I didn't create this site. I will keep posting my movies in the order that I actually have them at home. Does that give someone else the right to tell other people in no uncertain terms not to post here with the information? I certainly do not think so! I personally wait till my monthly order to post about any preorders made for that month. Some people actually consider a dvd bought as soon as they place the order. If they want to post that information here... great! why should that be a problem for anyone else? Why should someone tell other people how to post to this thread? That is the only problem I had. Finally I understand what all that was about. It seems it was once again, just the way I've said it. Which I know understand, after reading it again, was completely wrong. It was meant (I know it didn't sound like that) as a suggestion. Because when you buy something. That's a legal transaction which is not completed until payment is made. So, when you pre-order something, payment isn't made and that's not the same as buying. Also I found my tone a bit, well, not nice to put it mildly. But at least you think about posting the same way as I do. So maybe other people will read that and think about it. But since it isn't my site. Post however you like. Still, it would be nice if we kept to the title of the thread: "What DVD's have you BOUGHT this week"... But if you wanna post stuff when you preorder it.. go ahead.. at least I'll learn of some titles I haven't even heard of before!. PEACE TO ALL OF YOU OUT THERE! WE ARE ALL FANS OF THE SAME MEDIUM! | | Posted: | | | | Stephan... just so you know... some places do actually charge your card for pre-orders when you make the order... not when it ships. It all depends on where you do your shopping. But as you see above your post... how I do is make monthly orders... and I just announce any pre-orders with that month's order. Kinda different then announcing it months ahead of time. I do it that way just in case I decide to cancel something. If I get into the month it is released it is a pretty safe bet that I won't cancel it!
