Good evening, Sirs,

the contribution and adjudication procedure is still a mystery to me.

Recently I tried to correct a Studio from

to

And added:

Result: declined.

Now I wonder: what was wrong this time?

Love, bbbbb

I see a small typo in Premiere Picture (you have Premire).

But since i don't know which title this is about i can't say more.

What do the voters say? Maybe they noticed something?

What were your contribution notes?  Could you provide those?

If we knew what you wrote in your notes, What any no votes (if there was any) said and what (if any) the decline reason from invelos was it would help.

bbbbb's notes for "The Ward":
Quote:
Studios: corrected company name Premire -> Premiere Picture, like written in the opening credits.
Crew: added Jason McKee a 2nd time, he's first credited as Visual Effects Supervisor. (then, under North by Northwest, as VFX Artist)

Caution! The changes were verified with a Region B release.

The only thing I can think of is that you mention VFX Artist, and that is not a valid Profiler role.  I know you didn't add it but, other than taking the information from a Region B release, I can't see a problem with your contribution or notes.

Ah, I remember this contribution and that is why it was declined (in fact I voted no based on adding the VFX Artist).

Of course not, the two VFX Artists along with their company divider were already in the profile:

I did not feel like starting an argument whether a "VFX artist" is a "Visual Effects" artist or not.

After all we already have Makeup artist, and the profile went through the hands of Katatonia, and if he did not see the need to remove the existing VFX artists why should I try.

So I just added the unquestionable "Visual Effects Supervisor", in compliance with The Rules.

You wrote: "Agree with Katatonia. VFX Artist is not on the crew table..."

Since when do we vote on contents that already are in the approved online profile?

Don't be saying it went through my hands, because the person who added those Crew credits did so after my contribution. I never even touched the Crew credits, as can be evidenced by the contribution notes history of the profile in question.

I am not commenting on your noted. But based on another threadvthis is an excellent example about the importance of the notes, and communicating to other
users through them.

Why should invalid crew be entered now, then for somebody else to copy in the future? It could've easily been removed before submitting (since in your notes you knew about it).

But if the contribution is correct according to the rules, is it then correct to vote "no" because an existing error wasn't corrected?

I would have no problem voting no dark. The objective being to call the existing error to the contributor's attention so he will fix it. Though I confess the attitude of some users seems to be take the easy way out, don't communicate and since you are not required to fix such an error, let someone else do it

Whether I vote no or yes with a comment regarding the error depends on my view of the contributor and his/her work
