When refreshing updated profiles from Invelos this morning I noticed a number of profiles in which the audio tracks were updated. Some of the tracks were doubled and even tripled (see images below). I don't know if this is a Contribution System glitch or if the contributors are actually submitting the profiles this way.

The Incredibles actually has three Spanish tracks: 1) "Standard", 2) some descriptor i can't recall and 3) Argentine (that was a new one)

Can't speak to Nanny McPhee but i'm seeing many more discs with double Spanish (European and Latin American) and French (France and Quebec)
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

I'll be darned...you're right. "The Incredibles" actually has 3 Spanish language tracts: Español, Español Mexicano and Español Argentino. "Nanny McPhee" has 2 Spanish language tracts: Español (Latino Americano) and Castellano. Go figure.

Off-topic, but with regards to 'The Incredibles': IMHO, "Digital Copy" should only be listed under features, not under disc ID's - further substantiated by the fact that it doesn't even have a disc ID...

There's a lot of things that "should" happen but won't. Personally, I don't have a problem with it but it'd be nice to have a clarification under the rules either way (yeah, I know...).

Wasn't there a recent post commenting about a BluRay that had 16 audio tracks? Including three varieties of French and two of English?

Edit: it was Robots and has 21 audio tracks!

Here's Bob9000's post

The profile category is Discs, not Disc IDs.  Since the digital copy is, in this case, a standalone physical Disc it should be included, even if it doesn't have a Disc ID.  Some who use the Location/Slot feature may want to utilize it for the included Digital Copy.

I agree with Tweeter on this - even though I personally consider Digital Copy discs nothing more than a free coaster.

It all changed when I got an iPad. Now Digital copies are a nice bonus.

I understand your line of reasoning - I just disagree. As always, we'll all be looking forward to Ken's clarification...

Digital Copy Disc ID's get removed as soon as a profile gets downloaded into my local. Completely useless in my opinion. Especially since I filter on profiles that don't have Disc ID's (usually a really good way to determine if a profile hasn't been updated in quite some time and needs a good overhaul) and now have to slog my way through useless empty Digital Copy disc IDs to find profiles actually missing Disc IDs. Considering we have a spot for them in features, and they don't actually have a disc ID (I don't particularly care if the profile category is called Discs or not...) I just don't get the sense. But, that could just be me I suppose...

Digital Copy, another useless feature I heard about but never used, just like BD-Live. The purpose of a Digital Copy is to enable playability as a file, data discs shouldn't get a disc entry.

Digital Copy Discs are nothing more than DVD-ROM discs by another name and they should NOT be included in the Disc section of profiles. They have they're place in Features now and should therefore be excluded. Just like Merrik I'm sick and tired of having to remove them when I download new profiles from Invelos.

I'm not sure what carification is needed as the rule, at least to me, seems quite clear...

"Add disc information for each disc using a DVD-ROM drive."

The rules say to add information for each disc, period.  There is no exception for discs without disc ID or discs that some people feel are useless.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

As stated before, I disagree. I maintain that only discs that actually have a disc ID should be tracked there, no audio-CD's, CD-ROMs or DVD-ROMs. There have been multiple polls on the subject in the past, for instance with regards to including a "Disc" entry for an included soundtrack-CD, and the consensus has always been to not include discs that don't have a disc ID. As the fact that the software can't capture any ID from different types of discs indicates, the field is only meant for DVD's and Blu-rays, and nothing else. That's what the word "Disc" means for DVD Profiler purposes - for DVD Profiler purposes, it means either DVD or Blu-ray, but nothing else. If you keep that in mind, the rule is indeed quite clear.
