Was Santa good to you?

We finished getting everything unwrapped and I was so extremely surprised on how much I was completely spoiled! Waiting for me under the tree...

Many DVDs:

Sublime

Rock of Love: Season 1

Trust the Man

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: The Complete Epic Series
This is a show from my childhood that I recently re-discovered. Mentioned it on a forum I frequent... and not 1 person... but 2 people got it for me! So I will have to see what I need to do with copy #2.

Whisper

Fluke

Stealth

Laughing Out Loud
5-disc Stand up Comedian set!

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls

Invitation to Hell

Melrose Place: Season 1

Melrose Place: Season 2

I Love You, Man

Ichi the Killer

Ichi-1

Margaret Cho: Revolution

Batman: The Bold and the Brave: Vol. 1

Now... this one was a huge surprise!... I posted that I got a package from Amazon from a friend... a big heavy gift wrapped in gold. A gift that both my friend and my own daughter drove me crazy torturing me about. (Which also happened to be the first thing I opened!    In that package I was told was a complete series...and that package contained...

Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series (2004)

I never seen a single episode of this series (or the original series) but I had always heard good things about this one... so I really can't wait to dig into this set! I am afraid my friend went a little overboard spoiling me... but wow! What a gorgeous set!

Non-DVD... Special mention...
My daughter remembered me seeing this several months ago and wanting to pick it up... so she shocked me by remembering and picking me up...

A Bloody (Psycho) Shower Curtain

Between the above... and the many that I got early... Wow! This was a huge Christmas for me!

That's some great gifts. If you're a fan of sci-fi that has strong character building, overreaching story archs and awesome space opera fights, then you're in for a treat with Battlestar Galactica. I bought this set when it came out:
Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series

Regions All

Released: 28/07/2009

Widescreen 1.78

I've only recently started watching it though. The mini-series and Season one are done and it was a great run! I've just started Season 2 and so far it looks great as well.

Somebody got you Rock of Love? Does he/she hate you that much? Sorry, I couldn't resist

Merry Christmas, Pete!

Yeah... I am so looking forward to checking out that Battlestar Galactica set! I heard pretty much the same thing from everyone. I just hope my expectations won't be too high on it now!

Yeah... I am hoping Rock of Love won't be too bad for me. Scary thing is the same person that gave me that... also gave me the Battlestar Glactica set. What do I think about that?

Merry Christmas Taro! (And everyone else!)

I got a new set of head phones from my parents which was much appreciated and some essentials. I don't ask for gifts at Christmas usually as i buy what want all year round any way.

My auntie came round with some sad news though that my great uncle Angus had died at the age of 89. He was the last of 10 children and one the last few remaining veterans of the battle of El Alamein. Famously in the war he tried to set fire to a scorpion and got injured lol.

It makes me think when the last of a generation pass on how stretched out over time my family was. Cause my granddad was 40 when my dad was born.

Sorry to hear FilmAlba

Thanks

I only ever got to meet him a few times which makes me feel rather crap as i have never had much of a chance to meet much of my extended family.

Last time i seen him was at my granddads funeral in 05.

I always respected my grandad. He was a simple man with a big heart. And always been proud of what he did in the war despite the fact he never talked about it which is understandable but a bit of shame.

Don't know if you know about war history.

But my granddad fought at El Alamein with the 51st Highlands Division, 1st Battalion of The Gordon Highlanders in the 153rd Infantry Brigade. The Division was tasked with the hardest job of securing Kidney Ridge and virtually had the whole responsibility of the advance on there shoulders. Not surprisingly they suffered huge casualties.

And a lot of other stuff as well. So yeah would have been nice to have gotten to know his brother a bit better.

As most of my granddads brothers and sisters died young. Well any way sorry if this is ruining any one's  festive spirit.

I don't accept presents anymore - I haven't for many years - since I have too much "stuff".

But, my cats and dogs got some yummy treats and a couple of new toys!

Mmm, deviled eggs. By the time I got the family Christmas (and we were only the 3rd family there!) there were only 4 left! Family favorite...

No dvds or electronics here, but did get an iTunes gift card and a Target one, so will probably get something there. Otherwise, I got two Harry Potter lego sets which was probably my favorite gifts along with a really nice bracelet from my sister.
