I own the Xena Series with her and she is written Renee in the opening credits. By pure numbers these 130+ credits for her should make this the common writing for her name. On her (possibly) official page she also is written Renee.

In the profiles for the (german) Xena DVDs she is written Renee in the profiles for season 1-4 and Renée in season 5 and 6. I would like to somehow fix the profiles and not having her appear as two different actresses anymore. But I wonder why the creator of these profiles suddenly started to change the way he wrote her name. Maybe there already was a discussion about her name but I can't find it. Probably it was back at Intervocative?!

So what to do now? Change all season 5 & 6 episodes from Renée to Renee?

EDIT:  I found this on accented names but I'm not sure if I understand it correctly. If so it seems to me again like Renee would be correct. But it still is strange that suddenly people started to write her name the 'wrong' way.

Thank you, but it might be vice versa here. She is credited as Renee in the Xena opening credits. There are over 130 times she is written without the accent but on the other hand it's always the same TV-Show. I am also not sure about her official site. She might as well not be official (Wikipedia entry sais she is but that's all I know).

The right solution might also be to change her to Reneé credited as Renee for all Xena episodes

I am so worried because the profiles for the german Xena DVDs are great. I've downloaded some Xena profiles from other countries and the german profiles seem to be the best done profiles. I think not even the US Profiles are so good. So somebody put a lot of time and work into these. I really wonder why the creator of the profiles suddenly changed from Renee to Renée. There must have been some reason I guess.

One would think - don't own this so can't check - that this is done because the actual credits do so. If that's true, then the profiles should indeed reflect that change. It should, however, be done using the same common name and the "credited as" feature, not simply by entering part of these credits as "Renee" and part of them as "Renée", in which case her credits won't link together.

Of course. But as far as I've understood, that's not the case.

The end credits don't list the main actors (Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor), only co-stars. If there is a special guest star credited at the beginning, he also won't appear at the end.

Again I haven't checked all episodes but all seasons.
