From wikipedia:

"Malpaso Productions, originally known as The Malpaso Company, is Clint Eastwood's production company."

Question is, per rules, should we omit word "Company"?

In this context, it is not a company suffix, it is part of the company name...'The Malposo' makes no sense.  Because of that, it should not be omitted.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I agree with you. Unfortunately no other voters except me thinks this way when it comes to this UPC: 7-321900-115247 Dirty Harry contribution. We'll see how it goes...

Just because a company has the word Company at the end of it's name, doesn't automatically make it a suffix. In this case, I fully agree with the Martian. In this context, it's not a company suffix and therefore should be entered as The Malposo Company.

I agree, it's certainly not a Suffix.

"The Malpaso" would simply make no sense at all.

Let's remember that like many production companies, Malpaso HAS undergone name changes. There are some that are legitimately Malpaso Company (I think this was early company history) and later became The Malpaso Company and even some that may list Malpaso Productions.

Where do we take company names from? Wikipedia?

Well, Company is suffixed to Malpaso, isn't it? Anyway, be careful, if you do not match the choice of the masses you'll lose your reputation (in the eyes of Invelos, that is).

You're right, of course. But my votes are bound to an unspoken gentlemen's agreement with the contributor.

I don't think it changes anything but the contributor is not changing "The Malpaso Company" to "The Malpaso" but is changing it from "Malpaso Company" to just "Malpaso"

Looks like an abbreviation to me, which the rules forbid. But I would go with the on-screen credit, if it's just Malpaso I would enter that because I don't have any other knowledge to dispute it.

Business suffiixes are almost always abbreviated. Such as Co., Inc, etc.I presume that Malpaso Company is the Company name.Would The Limited be called The, because some joker believes Limited to be a suffix, I have news for you in this case it very definitely is NOT. What is Clint Eastwood saying by spelling out Malpaso Company, is it a suffix or not, I don't know I haven't asked him. Nick would you similarly aasume that that Smith, Jones and Company would also be a suffix. Rather simplistic thinking,I think.

Ninehours isn't the one who is saying that Company should be removed. He's only stating what the contributor is doing.
