| Posted: | | | | Will there be a version released that will work on the latest Windows phones? (WM7) As we see the hardware support go away for mobile 6.1 and 6.5 and there is a transition to WM7 with hardware announced by HTC, Samsung and LG I hope we can expect DVD Profiler Mobile to follow... |

| Posted: | | | | Same here. Especially if they run the Zune interface. (From what I've heard that's slick!). We're in "wait and see" mode for now. |

| Posted: | | | | Wait and see... hmm.. good one. I think I'll choose to see my collection this way while I wait: Unfortunately I can't release it on the market place, as it requires a web server that can serve up the xml collection for the device. Only Ken can release a decent version, as he can let it access his servers (and it could probably share a lot of the data objects with the mobile version, just not the sync code) If anyone is (or will be) a Windows Phone 7 developer you can have the source. The code is extremelty simple. Anywhere something sligtly complex would be required you will find a missing feature instead of complex code | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | Seems like there will be three broad environments:
1. iOS - tight intergration between OS and hardware, with no variants
2. WM7 - specified minimum hardware requirements, but with many possible variants beyond this minimum spec
3. Android - no hardware requirements specified, with many variants between manufacturers and carriers, with no compatability requirements
Seems simple to me:
1. Develop for iOS - you know it will run on all devices 2. Develop for WM7 - you know it will run on all devices provided you develop to the minimum hardware spec 3. Develop for Android - you pray it will run given the unlimited possible variants with no hardware spec |

| Posted: | | | | Well, Windows Phone 7 is upon us, news releases everywhere and nearly 10 different phones available maybe even by month's end...
I sure hope that the mobile version of DVD Profiler will be easily ported or re-written for this new platform!
I don't think the Microsoft is planning to miss out on the Smartphone market! |

| Posted: | | | | Just got my new Windows 7 phone, hopefully there will be an App soon. I use my DVD Profiler Mobile often on my old Windows phone and really would like to continue to be able to use it on my new phone (my old phone finally has died) |

| Posted: | | | | I just bought a Win7 phone (HTC Mozart) and in all my excitement with what it does and how cool it does it, didn't stop to think about DVD Profiler not be available on Win 7 Mobile!
Please, please, please port it to Win 7 Mobile! I am lost now when I go to retail outlets as I can;t check what is already in my collection.
As an interim stop gap I have pinned the html web page of my collection to the start bar, but this means I have to pay for data every time I access my collection, and here in Australia mobile data is frightfully expensive.
I'm more than happy to play test pilot now I have the hardware.
Cheers

The idea of pinning the web page to the start screen sounds like a good short term solution. And for Australian WM7 users with Telstra you now have a larger data pack available for no extra cost. The $49 cap plan for the HTC Mozart now comes with 1GB of data (although it seems you have to ask Telstra to upgrade you). |

| Posted: | | | | I also add in the request for WP7 support. Will someone from Invelos at least proivde us with a reply on if it is in the works or not? If so, when would it be targeted to be released? quoting woodg: Quote: Quoting timleonard:
