| Posted: | | | | I counted the CLT results at 6/5/2 for David Kelsey/Dave Kelsey/David P. Kelsey right now. Link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0447038/. T!M says that the common name is Dave Kelsey. I would like to be sure (no offense T!M).
Dave Kelsey: 6 confirmed Airheads (by me) BASEketball (by ninehours) Bruce Almighty (by T!M) Dick Tracy (by T!M) Dude, Where's My Car? (by T!M) Legally Blonde (by Corne)
David Kelsey: 8 confirmed CSI: Miami S2 (by me) CSI: NY S1 (by me) CSI: NY S2 (by me) CSI: NY S3 (by me) CSI: NY S4 (by me) CSI: NY S5 (by me) The Incredible Shrinking Woman Kingpin (by T!M) Message in a Bottle (by SpaceFreakMicha) The Work and the Glory
David P. Kelsey: 1 confirmed The Butchers Wife (by T!M) Three Wishes
Any others? | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! | | | Last edited: by huskersports |

| Posted: | | | | 'The Butchers Wife': David P. Kelsey. 'Kingpin': David Kelsey. The 'Mission: Impossible II' credit is questionable: he's not credited as part of the main crew, but under some additional unit. And the rules say: "Do not enter unit crew". For the record: it would be extremely good if his common name was not "David Kelsey", because then that would distinguish him from the actor named "David Kelsey" ( link). The problem is that there's no alternative way of differentiating between them, since no birth year is known for either of them. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | In between which 2 people is he credited in Kingpin? I'll need to add him to my local. I'll remove MI2 then. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. | Posted: | | | | 'Bruce Almighty': Dave Kelsey. 'Dick Tracy': Dave Kelsey. 'Kingpin': he's the very last in my list of art crew. Screenshot: And I'd count his 'CSI NY' credits as one title. Especially since, as explained before, the common name is the only thing we've got to differentiate him from other people named David Kelsey. I'll try and check some more... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | I'd count the CSI titles as 1, but I've had numerous instances where a crew member is credited 2 or 3 different ways over the course of just 1 season, let alone an entire series. So I count each season as 1 entry. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. So I count each season as 1 entry. To each his own - unfortunately, there is no official stance on this. I count them as one, making Dave Kelsey the common name (currently 6 titles vs. only 4 for "David") as far as I'm concerned. Which, as pointed out earlier, is quite a good thing, because it happens to be the only way to distinguish him from other people named David Kelsey in our database. So, as far as I'm concerned, the current balance is this: Dave Kelsey: 6 confirmedAirheads (by huskersports) BASEketball (by ninehours) Bruce Almighty (by T!M) Dick Tracy (by T!M) Dude, Where's My Car? (by T!M) Legally Blonde (by Corne) David Kelsey: 4 confirmedCSI: Miami (by huskersports) CSI: NY (by huskersports) The Incredible Shrinking Woman Kingpin (by T!M) Message in a Bottle (by SpaceFreakMicha) The Work and the Glory David P. | Posted: | | | | The big problem is it looks like it all depends on how you want to count TV series. Although even if you count CSI:NY as 1, it's still not decided as there are enough pending titles to make David Kelsey the winner if they all end up with that credit. |

Actually, then we arrive at a tie, in which case I'd still go for "Dave", simply because that's the only method we have to distinguish him from other people named David Kelsey in our database. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | There's still a pending title under David P. Kelsey as well, so technically David Kelsey could end up with 7. |

| Posted: | | | | Okay, yeah, I see, technically that could happen. As of yet, though, with 6 vs. 4 confirmed titles, I see absolutely no reason to switch my Dave Kelsey entries to David Kelsey, especially in light of the fact that there already is a David Kelsey in the database (and no birth years available for either of them). |
