| Posted: | | | | I have no idea how long this has been happening, but I decided to look at my wishlist in DVd Profiler Online to see what I have on it that is coming out next week and it showed only 1 title when my memory tells me there were 2. I launched DVD Profiler and my memory was correct there are 2 titles on my wishlist for next week, but for some reason only one of them was showing in the online.
Just to be sure that the online had my up to date collection, I decided to upload it again, and while it gave me a change in the Owned category, there were no changes listed in the Wishlist. After the upload, I went back to my online collection and again the same title was missing. I thought that perhaps my online collection had gotten corrupted by the changes it has gone through recently ( I have purged some titles that I no longer want to keep), so I created a new blank database and uploaded that. I then reopened my normal database and uploaded it over the empty one, and again the title iss missing.
Out of curiosity, I decided to look through my Owned list online and there are sveral profile that are not showing up either. The numbers on my profiler page match the numbers in the program, but some titles are not showing up for some reason. So far the missing profiles seem to be for the TV series Entourage. Any ideas why the online collection isn't displaying these? | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | So after your suggestions. It appears that the online collection is hiding everything that has a TV-MA rating in my collection. I've turned off the Parental Controls and checked the Adult Titles in the Online Collection settings here and none of them are showing up still. Here's what is invisible:
Band of Brothers Entourage Seasons 1-3 and Child profiles of Season 4 Generation Kill
This is stupid. | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | I did and no change. I just went in and changed the Rating on the missing profiles to NR and locked them. It's not data I really care about, but I do care about seeing my complete collection online. | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | Do you mean your "Band of Brothers"- Box with the Coll.# 569? Entourag seems to be visible too, as well as "Generation Kill" (#704). Please make sure that within the "Online Collection Settings" you check the box in "Show In Private Listing: -> Adult" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If I were to change the rating back to TV-MA they disappear. These are the settings in both my desktop and online with regards to Adult titles. | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | Ok. that fixed it. It's really stupid IMO to not be able to see your complete collection by default when you are logged in. | | | Chris |

I guess it's a safety thing for those who use it at work and/or have young children at home. If they've got adult titles in their collection, it's probably best to uncheck the Adult Titles boxes at certain times. |

| Posted: | | | | I think it's odd that TV-MA is lumped in with X-Rated material by the program. From what I have seen TV-MA is equal to an R in film ratings. | | | Chris |

Yes; but I believe if you don't allow Adult to be seen it blocks R rated too (same as it blocks '18' rated in the UK). Personally I think it's a bug and have reported it as such but, for reasons I just cannot understand, Ken replied saying it was to do with some local obscenity laws. When you think that to display your regular R/TV-MA/18 titles (which is important IMO, if people will use your list to decide what presents to get you!) you now have to also allow any viewer to see any really adult material covers which may really contravene some obscenity laws, this makes no sense to me at all but it seems it will stay this way | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Its been like that for a long time, its a bug that Ken doesnt want to fix. Sucks for people that want to hide adult titles. I transferred them to another collection and thus cant vote on them anymore. Quoting Voltaire53: Quote: Ken replied saying it was to do with some local obscenity laws. That is just crap. If the program wants me to turn adult titles on, how on earth could it help any obscenity laws? Like the word Adult that used to hide adult titles? Except Adult by itself is rather ambiguous. It can mean x-rated stuff or it can be used for anything that you need to be over the age of majority to view, so in the UK, titles that are rated 18 would be included in that. |

It really isnt, in the DVDP world Adult equals Porn, no exceptions. Always been like that. Rating has nothing to do with it, as the adult tag overrides any rating thats given to the DVD. In UK R18 = Adult (at least in most cases), 18 is just that, 18 (but it can be Adult too -> softcore is rated 18 in UK as far as i can remember). | | | Last edited: by whispering |
