My first contribution (IA069C9E2A9DFBFFC) showed it's Profile/Image status as Released but when I try to add the movie, it is not in the database. How do I verify that it is actually released? Wants to be sure I am on track before contributing more titles. Thanks.

Go to my profiler near the top of the screen, and then under Contributions. You're contributions and their status will be listed there.

@ Katatonia: from what Kensong writes it is my understanding he/she already went there.

@ Kensong: since you contributed the profile, it is already in your local database, right?
Select the profile in your local database, then go to Online / Refresh DVD from Invelos / Preview Changes. The released profile should download side-by-side with what you already have in your local database. Does this work?

There have been occassions before where contributions have gone astray: not appearing in the online even though they've been accepted.

What's the title and locality and we can see if it can be seen in our own collections?

Hi dee1959jay, you are right. By doing that, it showed no changes detected, which must mean it is already in the database. Thanks for the tip. Have just contributed 3 more titles  At least I know I am giving a little to this community.

Is there a fix method of confirming if your contribution is in the database? The "Released" status under My Contribution isn't very reassuring after my experience.

Except for the method described by northbloke?
None that I'm aware of.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Have a look at your online collection (if you use it) and see if it has the cover images. If not, it's not in the database (or you didn't contribute any images).

The easiest way I can think of:

Go to add a DVD. Then enter the UPC of the movie in question, or add by title and locate the profile in question. Once you have located the profile, click on the Preview button. This will download the current version in a preview mode.

You could also remove the title from your database and then add it back in. This will download the current profile. If you do this, I'd recommend first backing up your database, in case the downloaded profile doesn't have the data you contributed.

That's the thing. I went to add the movie and it is not there even though it has been tagged Released under My Collections. When I entered the UPC, it is not found, neither by Title. I guess Patsa's suggestion is a quick and painless method since I always upload images. Thanks.

Well... if you can't find it others can't either, regardless of what you see in your online list. If you encounter an instance where you see the covers in your online list, but can't find it when trying to add it, that sounds like a bug to me and I'd report it as such.

Or maybe I'm overlooking something?

Is it a pre-release that maybe is in your wishlist or ordered section? Check all those.
Looks like a disc ID you put in the first post, so trying to plug that into the UPC slot got me nothing and lots of it.

One of the frequently asked for features of this program is the ability to own a DVD twice. Alas, this is not the case yet. Means: If you already own a specific DVD it will not show up in the Add DVD window anymore.
That's why Astrakan's suggestion only works if you delete your local profile, which I would consider quite risky, if you're not sure that your contribution got accepted.

EDIT: corrected reference from Patsa to Astrakan (see post below)

The title would still appear in the list though, with a little "house" icon next to it (if it's in the Owned list). You'd just get an error message if you tried to click Add.

Kensong, just let us know the title and locality and we can see if we can see it in the online. If not, it's got lost somewhere and will need resubmitting.

No need to delete anything. Quite the opposite in fact, you must have the profile in your collection and uploaded in order for it to show up in your online collection which means that you can't use this method if you delete it. The check is just to see if the images are there or not. (Since they are not uploaded with your collection they must exist in the database.)

Sorry, my fault.
I meant Astrakans method.
